Giolito pitches 6 hitless innings as White Sox win 3-2; Hendriks earns 1st save.

The Chicago White Sox secured their season-high fourth consecutive victory on Tuesday night, beating the New York Yankees 3-2 at Yankee Stadium. Lucas Giolito delivered six hitless innings, striking out seven and walking three against a hazy sky caused by the remnants of wildfires in Canada. The White Sox’s attempt at a combined no-hitter was ended by Isiah Kiner-Falefa’s two-out RBI double in the seventh inning. Seby Zavala then homered in consecutive at-bats off Clarke Schmidt, driving in all three White Sox runs. The game saw two notable returns – All-Star reliever Liam Hendriks recorded his first save since returning from cancer and Harrison Bader started baseball activities for the Yankees after injury. Jose Trevino also made his return to the Yankees team, hitting a clean single to right in the seventh inning.
